Safety tips & Suggestions:
- Inform the instructor if you have any medical problems (I.e.
hypertension, back or knee injuries).
- If you are beginner, start slowly and always work at your own pace.
- If you need extra help learning, ask the instructor or make an
appointment with the Aerobic Director to help you out.
- If you are unable to follow a class, it is advisable to move to the
back of the room so as not to disrupt others in the class.
CLASS DESCRIPTIONS
- CARDIO SCULPT - a cardio workout that combines aerobic work
with strength training exercises.
- KICKBOXING - The fundamentals of boxing and circuit training
put together in an aerobic format. Drills that focus on strength, power,
and endurance. Includes calisthenics.
- TOTAL BODY CONDITIONING AKA ABS CHALLENGE - A athletic workout
designed to strengthen, condition, tone, and define the abdominal area.
This class incorporates the use of free weights, resistance tubing, and
medicine ball. Challenging for all fitness levels.
- BOOT CAMP - An aggressive circuit workout featuring
high-intensity conditioning and power moves.
- PILATES "MATWORK" - Specific abdominal exercises and
breathing techniques used to help strengthen the back, help alignment
and increase flexibility.
- YOGA /*POWER YOGA 101 (*intro to Power Yoga) - Practiced for
centuries, the study of yoga utilizes specific postures, breathing
techniques and relaxation to develop muscular strength, and flexibility.
- SPINNING - Simulated cycling on an adjustable stationary bike
to music. Classes incorporate heart rate training techniques. Heart rate
monitors are recommended but not mandatory. Classes are limited to 15
participants. Please arrive 5 minutes prior to class start time to allow
for set up. Beginners come early to learn the basics. Towel and water
bottle are a necessity. (See info about class registration below)
- DANCE AEROBICS - An exhilarating workout that mixes the latest
street dance moves with dynamic funky, low-impact choreography.
Spin Class - Reservation System
- Reservations can be taken in person or on the telephone at the front
desk.
- Reservations will be taken 24 hours prior to up until 10 minutes
before class start time.
- One reservation per person, member must provide membership# and
telephone #. There are 15 available seats per class.
- Members with reserved spots are expected to be present 10 minutes
prior to the scheduled class start time.
- Members who are not present
take the chance of having to forfeit their reservation to a waiting
member who does not have a reservation.
- In consideration of other members who wish to attend "Spin"
classes, we ask that you please call and cancel your
reservation
if you are not able to attend. In the event a member fails to call and
cancel a reservation 3 times, that member will be restricted from using
this reservation system.
AN IMPORTANT REMINDER TO MEMBERS
Please remember that hydration is very important, especially if you are
attending "Spinning" classes. It is necessary that you bring water
to class with you. For the consideration of other members attending
"Spinning" class and to ensure the that the bikes are in proper
working condition, we ask that you please bring a towel and wipe
down your bike after each use.
