Everyone at Bev Francis' Powerhouse Gym wants to congratulate Evgeny "Eugene" Mishin on his terrific showing at the Europa this weekend! Eugene looked fantastic and with a third place win qualified himself for the 2010 Mr. Olympia in Las Vegas!

| Sweating it Up at the Steve Stone Mets & NY Fitness Pro! |

Wow, this past Saturday at the Tribeca Performing Arts Center was awesome. Even on Easter weekend, as early in the day as prejudging was, the Steve Stone Mets had a roaring crowd! Kudos to Steve Weinberger and Bev Francis on their first show of the year. The amateur competitors looked lean and hard as they strived to place in the top five. It was hard to know if the warmth of the day, and the rising thermometer, was actually due to the hot fitness pros tearing up the stage inside the auditorium. Overall winners for the NPC Steve Stone Mets were: Sean Andros (men's bodybuilding), Tom Kyte (masters bodybuilding), Dominick Cardone (teen bodybuilding), Nicole Borigiorna (women's bodybuilding), Elizabeth Earhart (figure), Sue Dent (fitness) and Nicole Nagrani (bikini). Tanji Johnson took the 2010 New York Pro Fitness Classic title, with Trish Warren in second and Bethany Wagner finishing third. After winning the Most Muscular award at the Arnold Classic last weekend and placing third, Branch Warren and his wife Trish, who placed fourth in the Fitness Pro at the Arnold Classic, were in da house yesterday! After winning the 2009 New York Pro, Evan Centopani, is looking live and large himself!

Don't be fooled by the snow, spring is almost here, and with it comes the first two shows of the year, The Steve Stone New York Metropolitan and the IFBB New York City Pro Fitness Championships to be held on Saturday April 3, at the Tribeca Center in lower Manhattan. Prank all you want, we are looking forward to some wicked bodies in the house, no foolin! Like last year, we are anticipating another great turnout. The Arnold Classic was another great event this year in downtown Columbus! Adela Garcia took the overall fitness title while Nicole Wilkins Lee won the Figure overall. Iris Kyle made history with her fifth Ms. International win at the Arnold Classic on Friday night at the Veterans Memorial Auditorium. And Kai Greene, after winning the best posing award, went home that evening with back-to-back Arnold Classic wins under his belt.
